Who can access this facility?
To avail the SMS2Invest facility, the following criteria need to be met: You must be KYC compliant Your registered mobile number must be the same for all the folios registered under your PAN *The maximum amount you can transact is Rs. 10 lakh per day.

How can the investor transact by SMS?
How do I transact using SMS2Invest?
To make a purchase simply send an SMS with the following text: ‘PUR <space> <SCHEME CODE> <space> <AMOUNT> from your registered mobile number to 5 60 70 90. The specified amount will be debited from your bank account and will be invested into the chosen scheme.
To redeem (partly or fully) simply send an SMS with the following text:‘RED <space> <FOLIO NO.> <space> <SCHEME CODE> <space> <AMOUNT> <space> <PIN> from your registered mobile number to 5 60 70 90.The specified amount will get redeemed from your folio/scheme and will be credited to your registered bank account.
Transactions are now easy to action via the SMS facility. You can find a list of scheme codes at LINK (Scheme Codes)

Is NAV applicable to a transaction being processed under SMS2Invest?
Yes, NAV is applicable under transactions done via the SMS2Invest. It will be applied based on the time when the SMS is received on our RTA server, along with other factors such as the scheme, type of transaction, amount, date, and time of realization of funds as per SEBI MF regulations and the amount received in UTI MF’s designated account. This amount will be treated on par with similar transactions made through other modes of payment.

What if I send an incorrect SMS?
Any SMS received that does not follow the standard format will be rejected automatically.

What are the charges do I have to pay to use the SMS2Invest facility?

How is the distributor ARN code registered in the purchase/switch transaction?
UTI MF will consider the financial advisor code (ARN) mentioned in your registration form for all transactions under SMS2InvestIf you wish to invest through your financial advisors, please mention their EUIN. In case you don’t mention this, UTI MF will assume it to be the one declared in your registration form.
If you want to get your ARN/sub ARN/Sub code/EUIN/MO Code changed for future transactions, you must write to UTI MF

Following are also applicable at the time of allotment of units:

If investor submits the registration form with ARN Code and SMS sent for purchase/switch transaction with the Scheme Code of “Existing Plan”, then the transaction will be processed under “Existing Plan” of the respective Scheme and the financial advisor code mentioned in the application form will be captured in the transaction.

If investor submits the registration form with ARN Code and SMS sent for purchase/switch transaction with the Scheme Code of “Direct Plan”, then the transaction will be processed under “Direct plan” of the respective Scheme with “Direct” code.

If investor submits the registration form with ARN Code box “Blank” / “Direct” and SMS sent for purchase/switch transaction with “Existing” Scheme Code, the transaction will be processed under Direct plan of the respective Scheme with “Direct” code.

If investor submits this registration form with ARN Code box “Blank” / “Direct” and SMS sent for purchase/switch transaction with Direct Scheme Code, the transaction will be processed under Direct plan of the respective Scheme with “Direct” code.

Please note that at the time of allotment of units, following rules are applicable:

If you have mentioned a particular ARN Code in your registration form, this is the code that will be captured in your SMS2Invest transaction when you send an SMS for purchase/switch with the scheme code of ‘existing plan’.

Similarly, if you SMS2Invest with under ‘direct plan’, specifying the scheme using ‘direct code’, your transaction will be processed as ‘direct plan’ even if your registration form carries an ARN code.

If you left the ARN code box in your registration form blank/vacant, your transactions under SMS2Invest will be processed under ‘Direct Plan’ of the specified scheme under ‘Direct’ code.

Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IDBI Bank, IndusInd Bank, State Bank of India, CitiBank, Union Bank of India, Federal Bank, UCO Bank, State Bank of Patiala, Chhattisgarh Gramin Bank, Bank of India, United Bank of India, ICICI Bank, Dhanalakshmi Bank.
Please note that the list of banks and branches may be modified / updated / changed / removed at any time in future at the sole discretion of UTI Mutual Fund without assigning any reasons or prior notice.
